Last month, the Almond Board of California’s Leadership Program Class of 2022 hosted its fourth annual golf tournament. The tournament attracted 144 growers, handlers and almond industry leaders to golf and support FFA.
Watsonville FFA recently hosted a fun-filled carnival for the entire community. The evening event featured music, a bounce house, a balloon artist, face painting, traditional carnival games, themed photo backdrops, and classic carnival food. With more than 100 people attending the inaugural event, the chapter hopes to make it an annual tradition. “It was a fantastic night,” said Vivienne Moran, Chapter Reporter.
Agricultural teachers play an essential and selfless role as they work to prepare future generations for successful careers. After recognizing six exceptional California teachers as finalists through the Golden Owl Award, the California FFA, in partnership with Nationwide and the California Farm Bureau, selected Elizabeth Ammon, agricultural teacher at Lassen High School, as California’s 2021-2022 “Ag Educator of the Year.”
