Delegates

Held in conjunction with the annual National FFA Convention and Expo, the delegate experience brings together 475 student leaders from across the nation. Students convene to share ideas and perspectives that will ensure the continued progress of the organization. Delegates come from each of the organization's 52 state associations, with delegation sizes being determined by each association's percent of overall organizational membership.

Beginning in the early 20th century in California, agricultural education has a long tradition of preparing students for rigorous, satisfying careers both within and outside of the industry. As a school-based learning program, agricultural education operates as a unit within the California Department of Education and is written into the state’s legislative education code.
