Chapter Update: East Union FFA's Top 21 Trip: Celebrating Active Members
Submitted by Belle Beglinger, East Union FFA President
The East Union FFA chapter has a tradition that recognizes its most active members with a special end-of-year trip. Known as the "Top 21 Trip," it is an eagerly anticipated reward chosen by the newly elected officer team. This trip holds a special place in the hearts of East Union FFA members as it offers them a chance to explore new destinations and create lasting memories.
In previous years, the chapter has embarked on exciting journeys to places like the Chaffee Zoo in Fresno and Great America in Santa Clara. However, this year's trip brought a different kind of adventure, as the officers decided to take the group to the awe-inspiring Monterey Bay Aquarium. For many members, it was their first encounter with the beach and sea-life.
Earning a spot on the Top 21 Trip is no easy feat, as only 21 members can participate. Throughout the year, members work diligently to accumulate points by actively participating in various FFA events. The more events attended, the more points earned, increasing the chances of securing a coveted spot on the trip. This system serves as a powerful incentive, encouraging members to remain engaged and enthusiastic about their involvement in the chapter.
Emma Huffman, East Union FFA Chapter Treasurer, expressed her love for the Top 21 Trip, emphasizing its ability to engage members while providing an enjoyable experience. She shared, "I love the Top 21 Trip! It's a great way to get our members involved and celebrate a successful year."
Belle Beglinger, the newly elected chapter president, highlighted the trip's significance in exposing members to new experiences and destinations. "It's an opportunity for me to go to places I've never been, from touching the ocean for the first time to visiting a zoo,” Beglinger enthused. “It's a truly remarkable opportunity that showcases my dedication and care for our chapter."
As the East Union FFA chapter continues to nurture active members and foster a vibrant community, the Top 21 Trip remains a cherished tradition. It exemplifies the chapter's commitment to provide meaningful experiences while fostering a spirit of camaraderie and exploration, allowing members to grow and thrive.
